Cultural Performance: Letters from a Young Poetess
Experience a powerful performance by Lisette Ma Neza — poet, filmmaker, and theatre director — who in January 2024 became Brussels’ first-ever city poet, a role she will hold for two years. Through her poetry, Ma Neza explores themes of identity, struggle, and the restoration of human dignity, offering a deeply personal and resonant voice. Accompanying her is acclaimed Afro-jazz trumpeter Peter Somuah, whose rich sound and masterful improvisation bring an added layer of emotion and depth to the performance.
